DMCC Opens New AI Centre to Boost Dubai's Tech Ecosystem

AI Hub Launched at DMCC's Uptown Tower

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has officially opened its AI Centre in the 79-floor Uptown Tower. This new hub aims to attract top AI companies and talent to Dubai's growing tech ecosystem. DMCC’s AI Centre will provide access to capital, accelerator programs, networking, education, and training. "We're not running an AI company, we're supporting an AI community," said DMCC Chairman Ahmed bin Sulayem at the opening ceremony.

DMCC hopes the center will attract investors and develop practical AI use cases. "Since AI is part of your life and work, it's important to keep the industry close," bin Sulayem added.

Partnerships and Innovation

Builder.ai CEO Sachin Dev Duggal highlighted the center's role in connecting global commerce with AI. "We wanted to be surrounded by potential customers and peers, not just software companies," he said. The AI Centre follows DMCC’s 2021 launch of the Crypto Centre, created to support blockchain and crypto companies. It’s part of DMCC’s broader mission to drive innovation in Dubai’s technology landscape.
