Dubai International Airport (DXB) has been recognized as one of the world’s most connected airports, with numerous nonstop destinations worldwide, securing its spot in the top 10 rankings.
Being one of the busiest airports for international passengers, DXB ranks 6th on the list, with Istanbul Airport taking the lead by serving 309 direct destinations.
This ranking is based on data from the first half of the year evaluating the number of unique nonstop destinations each airport offers.

Dubai is all set for a major transformation with plans to expand Al Maktoum International Airport into a global aviation hub. The ambitious project, costing AED 128 billion aims to create an airport five times the size of DXB, with a future capacity to handle 260 million passengers annually, significantly surpassing Dubai International Airport current traffic.
