Dubai saw a 9% growth in international tourism in 2024, welcoming 16.79 million visitors in the first 11 months, up from 15.37 million in 2023. November alone saw 1.83 million tourists. Western Europe was the top source region, contributing 3.3 million visitors followed by South Asia with 2.86 million and the GCC with over 2.5 million.
The hotel sector also thrived with hotel rooms rising to 153,390 and bookings up 3% to 39.19 million nights. The average stay was 3.6 nights and both the average daily rate (AED 520) and revenue per available room (AED 405) grew.
