The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) anticipates a record year for global travel and tourism in 2024, projecting an economic contribution of $11.1 trillion and the creation of 348 million jobs. The sector is expected to employ 449 million people worldwide over the next decade.

Danielle Curtis, exhibition director for the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), highlighted that connectivity, collaboration and sustainable practices will shape the industry's future. These themes will be central at ATM 2025, set for April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Dubai’s Tourism Surge

Dubai has experienced a significant tourism boom, welcoming 9.31 million international overnight visitors in the first half of 2024, a 9% annual increase. This growth is fueled by initiatives like the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 which aims to position the city as a top global destination and double its economy over the next decade.

ATM 2024 attracted over 47,000 participants from 161 countries underscoring Dubai's appeal as a premier travel destination. With the sector on the rise, ATM 2025 is poised to influence its future direction significantly.
