RAK Announces Visionary Marjan Beach Project to Revolutionize Seaside Resort

85 million sq. ft. mixed-use complex will accommodate 100,000 residents and draw billions in investment

Ras Al Khaimah has launched Marjan Beach, a massive coastal development that will revolutionize the Northern Emirate's shoreline as part of RAK Vision 2030.

The 85 million sq ft mixed-use masterplan was unveiled at a launch ceremony with drones, fireworks, and a giant model of the development at the Al Hamra International Exhibition & Conference Centre.

A City Within a City

Covering a three-kilometer beach strip, the project will comprise eight distinct neighborhoods to house 74,000 residents and 32,000 employees. The development will consist of 12,000 hotel rooms and 22,000 housing units and will bring in 180,000 yearly tourists.

The strong demand for Al Marjan Island and RAK Central shows just how much momentum Ras Al Khaimah’s economy has right now,” said Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan. “With Marjan Beach, we’re building on that success - creating exciting new opportunities for investors and visitors to be part of something special.

Green Spaces and Sustainability

The masterplan is focused on sustainability with 6.5 million square feet of green areas and family parks. Every neighborhood will have residential, commercial and recreational facilities.

Economic Impact

The development is the focal point of Ras Al Khaimah's economic diversification strategy and is likely to bring multi-billion-dirham investments in real estate and lifestyle sectors. Over 100,000 individuals will likely reside and work throughout the region, making it one of the UAE's most integrated beach town destinations.
