In Dubai, many residential communities require move-in permits for tenants and homeowners. The process can be complex, but it doesn't have to be. Moving into a new home in Dubai’s Emaar communities? This step-by-step guide simplifies the Emaar move in permit process, ensuring a hassle-free relocation. Learn how to secure your permit, which verifies that landlords have paid all service fees and maintains accurate records of community occupants. Follow these straightforward steps to make your move-in smooth and stress-free.

Emaar Move In Permit Easily

1. Go to Sakani portal

One of the most renowned property developers in Dubai, Emaar, has streamlined their processes to ensure tenants and homeowners follow their specified rules. To ensure this, they require residents to obtain move in and out permits before residing in their communities.

Emaar move-in permits help minimize conflicts between landlords and tenants. They also enable the community management to easily identify anyone who needs special assistance. Additionally, they allow the developer to keep a record of all current contact details of residents living in the community.

To apply for an Emaar move-in permit, tenants and holiday home operators can use the Emaar One app or Emaar Community Portal powered by Sakani. They must submit their Ejari and Emirates ID (GCC national) or visa (expatriate). The information is then kept in a secure database at ECM.

2. Select the master community

Whether you’re a homeowner, tenant or holiday home operator, obtaining an Emaar move in-permit is crucial for hassle-free access to your community. The permit also helps the developer maintain a record of all occupants’ contact information so that they can easily track damage to common areas and address it accordingly.

The process of acquiring the permit involves precise details, so it’s important to be methodical when filling in the form. Additionally, you should prepare your DEWA account for disconnection before the move-out date. Lastly, you should have your Emirates ID and Ejari contract copy handy when applying for the Emaar move-in permit.

3. Select the sub-community

Dubai's real estate developers like Emaar, Nakheel, and Dubai Properties have instituted rules mandating move-in and move-out permits in their residential projects. These permits allow residents to avoid hassles related to property transfers.

Obtaining these permits requires the Ejari contract copy, Emirates ID (for GCC nationals) or visa (for expats), and the community website link. Applicants can easily apply for their permit using the Emaar One app, their master community's website, or the Sakani portal, which provides home management solutions for all developers.

Although hiring a professional home moving company can help streamline the process, obtaining a permit is still advisable. This step ensures that the relocation is carried out systematically and without any violations of community laws. By doing so, tenants and homeowners will experience a stress-free relocation process.

4. Select the unit number

The move in permit allows residents to easily get their ID cards and manage their service requests. It also ensures that any damages caused during the moving process are noted and fixed right away. It also helps management gather information about people with special needs and disabilities.

Emaar Move-In Permit Steps

All tenants, holiday home operators and owners of villas in Emaar Communities can apply for a move-in or out permit online using the Sakani portal or RealConnect app. Applicants must have their Ejari, Emirates ID and passport copies ready to upload.

The process takes at least one business day to complete. However, it’s important to remember that if the owner of the flat or villa has outstanding debts, the move-in or out permit may be denied.

5. Submit the documents

Many real estate transactions in Dubai involve a lot of documentation. Getting an Emaar move-in permit is no exception. The permit is required to enter any residential building under the developer’s ownership. This ensures that the community management has accurate contact information for all occupants in case of any emergency. It also helps the company carry out site supervision and minimize any damages caused by tenants moving in or out.
