Dubai Introduces Golden Visa for Exceptional Educators on World Teachers’ Day

Long-Term Residency Now Available for Educators in Dubai’s Private Education Sector

Dubai announced a new golden visa on October 5, World Teachers’ Day, for exceptional educators, as directed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This visa offers long-term residency in Dubai without the hassle of frequent renewals.

The visa is available to outstanding teachers in private early childhood centers, schools and higher education institutions in Dubai. To qualify, educators must:

  • Show exceptional academic achievements and innovative contributions to education.

  • Demonstrate success in enhancing the quality of education at their institutions.

  • Have a recognized positive impact within the educational community.

  • Prove contributions to improving student outcomes and academic progress.

Starting October 15, detailed criteria will be available from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed deep appreciation for teachers highlighting their essential role in shaping future generations and supporting Dubai’s development. This initiative aligns with the city’s Education 33 strategy aimed at making Dubai a premier destination for top educators. Additionally, a new national holiday, Emirati Day for Education will be celebrated annually on February 28 to honor the importance of education in the UAE's progress.
