Emaar Plans Dubai's Next Iconic Skyscraper “Super Tower” to Rival Burj Khalifa

Designs and locations are being considered for the new development

Emaar is considering an ambitious plan for a new "super tower" in Dubai that could break global records, becoming the world’s second-tallest building. The project is expected to incorporate revolutionary sustainable technologies that have yet to be used in any building worldwide.

Emaar is exploring several designs and locations with sites near the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek being top choices. The proposed tower while close in height to the Burj Khalifa (828m), will feature four design concepts including a glass tube-style structure, a rocket-shaped tower, and a futuristic design adorned with gothic spires.

This development will be a luxury project combining high-end offices, hotels, residences, and leisure spaces with advanced AI integration shaping both the design and operation of the building. It will focus on the smart-building concept and sustainability.

In comparison, Azizi Developments is currently working on Burj Azizi, a 725-meter tower slated to be the second-tallest globally, scheduled for completion in 2028. Other major towers in Dubai are Marina 101 (425m) and Princess Tower (414m).

If approved, Emaar’s new development would mark the most ground-breaking development in Dubai and the world since the completion of the Burj Khalifa.
