Apartment owners at Marina 101, one of Dubai’s tallest skyscrapers, are excited as the building nears completion after two decades of delays. The 425-meter tower which launched in the mid-2000s with some of Dubai's most expensive freehold units has faced multiple setbacks, including the Global Financial Crisis and financial difficulties for the developer.

Now with 97% of the project complete, owners are hopeful for handovers to begin in 2025, pending final approvals from the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA). Many investors who have been waiting for years are eager to move in, while some may consider selling depending on market conditions.
The hotel component of the building which occupies 33 floors was auctioned off a few years ago. Future price growth may depend on the completion of the hotel and any potential updates to its plans. Despite the delays, owners are optimistic, thanking RERA for their support in pushing the project forward.
