The Dubai Media Office shared the news on X, highlighting that the registry will support the development of government plans, strategies, and policies. It aims to improve the accuracy and availability of census data, which is crucial for guiding economic, social, and infrastructure planning in line with Dubai’s broader digital transformation goals.
By consolidating population information, the registry will enhance government services and programs, making it easier to forecast future population trends. These insights will help shape long-term policies for Dubai’s economic and social development.
The launch comes alongside a two-month visa amnesty, offering residents with visa-related fines a chance to clear their records. The amnesty, which began earlier this month and runs until the end of October, allows individuals to either stay and work in the UAE or exit the country without penalties.
