Dubai, UAE – In a move recognizing long-standing contributions to the healthcare sector, Dubai has announced that nurses employed by Dubai Health who have served in the UAE for over 15 years will now be eligible for the UAE Golden Visa. The directive was issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, highlighting the emirate’s commitment to rewarding frontline workers and strengthening the healthcare system.
In other developments, Dubai passed Law No. (6) of 2025, giving Dubai Municipality authority to regulate the allocation and reclamation of government land plots assigned to public sector entities. Real estate experts say the law will reinforce urban planning efforts and boost investor confidence in long-term development projects.
On the property front, Sobha Realty unveiled Sobha Central, a new master-planned vertical community located on Sheikh Zayed Road. The ambitious project will consist of six towers offering 1,225 one- and two-bedroom apartments.
Additionally, Meraas has launched Atélis at d3, a striking 45-storey waterfront residential tower in Dubai Design District. The SOM-designed building features 280 residences with distinctive petal-shaped balconies and offers stunning views along the Creekside shoreline.
Beyond Dubai, Marriott International announced it will open a St. Regis hotel in Jeddah by 2030, in collaboration with Miyar Capital, Telal Al Wadi Real Estate Company, and Saud Al Arifi Investment Group. The project will include both luxury hotel accommodations and branded residences, further strengthening the hospitality offering in Saudi Arabia.
