Innovative Suspended System Aims to Enhance Connectivity and Public Transport by 2030

Dubai's Executive Council has permitted a 65 km ‘’Suspended Transport System’’ designed to connect Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khor, and Zabeel.

This innovative project will feature self-driving vehicles traveling on elevated beams integrating seamlessly with the city’s existing transport network for more efficient and sustainable travel.

It is part of Dubai’s broader Smart Mobility Strategy, the SkyPod system aims to increase public transport usage to 26% by 2030, ensuring Dubai’s position in technology and development.

While specific details are still under wraps, the Roads and Transport Authority has previously hinted at the design and functionality of these suspended airlifts.
