Dubai has launched its largest ever marine conservation initiative, Dubai Reef, aiming to create the world’s largest purpose-built reef. This ambitious project, part of the Dubai Can sustainability initiative led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed will span 600km² and rehabilitate marine ecosystems using 20,000 reef modules made of sustainable concrete and steel.
