Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) reported digital revenues of AED 3.705 billion ($1 billion) for the last year marking a significant 16.8% increase from 2022. The total number of digital transactions rose to 821 million with a 1% increase while smart app transactions grew by 29% to 15.299 million.
AI Tayer, RTA's Director General highlighted the authority's commitment to digital transformation with a user satisfaction rating of over 95% across RTA apps. In 2023, registered users on RTA’s digital channels reached 1.404 million, a 20% increase and the apps were downloaded 3.056 million times.

To enhance customer service, RTA launched an upgraded Mahboob Chatbot powered by ChatGPT offering more human-like responses and better data protection. Additionally, they introduced faster smart kiosks, generating AED 309 million ($84.1 million) in revenue up 12% from 2022.
The updated S’hail app now provides various services including bike and e-scooter lane activations and taxi stand locations, facilitating 18 million planned journeys. RTA also launched 63 services as part of its 360 Services initiative on its website, streamlining tasks like fine payments and transport rentals.
Furthermore, RTA collaborated with the Dubai Government to enhance the Dubai Now app, integrating services with private insurance providers and developing new experiences for vehicle registration and driving. This comprehensive approach aims to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall customer experience.
