Sheikh Mohammed Celebrates UAE’s 2024 Achievements, Sets Optimistic Tone for 2025

UAE Achieves Dh2.3 Trillion Trade, 150M Tourists, 200K New Businesses

As 2024 draws to a close, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated the UAE’s historic achievements and welcomed 2025 with optimism. He highlighted the nation’s progress and praised the Emirates for surpassing key milestones in global competitiveness, technology, trade, and sustainability.

The UAE achieved 140 international deals with 55 countries, issued 1,300 government decisions, and ranked among the top in 223 global indexes, including fifth in artificial intelligence and seventh in competitive power. Non-oil GDP reached Dh660 billion in the first half of 2024, while foreign trade hit Dh2.3 trillion in nine months. The tourism sector also flourished, with 150 million visitors passing through UAE airports and ports, and 200,000 new companies registered for the first time in history.

Sheikh Mohammed shared an 85-second video showcasing these accomplishments, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to growth, sustainability, and global cooperation. On this festive occasion, UAE leaders greeted world leaders, wishing prosperity and peace for all nations in 2025.
