The UAE has climbed to 21st place in the World Happiness Index 2025, ranking above the UK, US, Germany, France, and all Arab countries. The rise reflects its strong economy, high living standards, and commitment to social welfare.
According to the Gallup-published report, the UAE ranks:
16th globally for donating money
19th for volunteering time
12th for societal trust (belief a stranger would return a lost wallet)
67th for helping a stranger
Gallup’s CEO Jon Clifton highlighted that global kindness is underestimated, while experts credit the UAE’s happiness to strong social bonds and generosity. The country has declared 2025 the ‘Year of Community’ to further enhance well-being through social connection.
