Sharjah Tenants Receive Full Fine Waiver and 50% Discount on Authentication Fees for Expired Leases

The relief initiative is valid from November 1 to December 31, 2025, covering all residential, commercial, industrial, and investment leases.

The Sharjah Executive Council has agreed to a strategy to fix improper leasing agreements. If renters sign new leases that follow Law No. (5) of 2024 on real estate leasing, which will help them a lot financially.

The ruling that was made public on Tuesday says that tenants who sign leases that were not previously certified and end before September 19, 2024, would not have to pay authentication fees or administrative fines for not signing their leases.

From November 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, the exclusions will be in effect. They will apply to all types of leases, such as those for homes, businesses, factories, and investments. The program's purpose is to help renters follow the laws and pay their bills during the transition to the new standards.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, led the meeting at the Ruler's Office. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who are both Deputy Rulers and Deputy Chairmen of the Executive Council, were also there.

The Council also approved the Hasad Center project, which is aimed at aiding with food security and the growth of Sharjah's agricultural sector. This was on top of the lease settlement. The center would be a site where people could pick up fruits and vegetables, which would make it easier to distribute them and provide citizen farmers throughout the emirate with more help.

The Council also talked about the arrangements for the 54th National Day celebrations in Sharjah, UAE. The goal of these events is to bring people together, make them feel like they belong, and show off the culture and accomplishments of the country.

Sharjah wants to aid its people and recognize major national events. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, who is a member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of Sharjah, has this goal.
